Common use of ARTICLE I - RECOGNITION Clause in Contracts

ARTICLE I - RECOGNITION. The Board hereby recognizes the Association as the sole and exclusive bargaining representative as defined in Section II of Act 379 Public Acts of 1965, for all educational secretaries and all personnel engaged in secretarial and clerical work including all classifications in Appendix A of this Contract except the Administrative Assistants to the Superintendent of Schools, Executive Director of Human Resources and Deputy Superintendent for Financial Services. Other personnel, whose classifications are changed or created in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Agreement, will be included in the above unit.

Other personnel, whose classifications are changed or created in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Agreement, will be included in the above unit.

ARTICLE I - RECOGNITION. The Board hereby recognizes the Association as the sole and exclusive bargaining representative as defined in Section II of Act 379 379, Public Acts of 19651965 as amended, for all educational secretaries full-time and regularly scheduled part-time office clerical personnel excluding supervisors, substitutes, the secretary to the Superintendent, the secretary to the Assistant Superintendent of Labor and Employee Services and the secretary to the Assistant Superintendent, Business Services and all other employees. All personnel engaged in secretarial and clerical work including all classifications in Appendix A of this Contract except represented by the Administrative Assistants to the Superintendent of Schools, Executive Director of Human Resources and Deputy Superintendent for Financial Services. Other personnel, whose classifications are changed or created in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Agreement, will be included Association in the above unitabove-defined bargaining unit shall, unless otherwise indicated, hereinafter be referred to as "Secretaries".
