ARTIST AS INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR. It is understood and agreed that Artist’s relationship with City is strictly and solely that of an independent contractor, and not as an agent or an employee of City; and as an independent contractor, Artist shall obtain no rights to retirement benefits or other benefits which accrue to City's employees, and Artist hereby expressly waives any claim Artist may have to any such rights. Artist further agrees to acknowledge and accept sole responsibility for determining the method and means by which Artist will fulfill Artist’s obligations under this Agreement. Nothing contained in this Agreement shall be construed to place City and Artist in the relationship of partners. Artist acknowledges and agrees that Artist shall not hold him, her or itself out as an authorized agent of City with power to bind in any manner. SECTION 8. ASSIGNABILITY.
ARTIST AS INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR. The Artist agrees to perform all work and services under this Agreement as an independent contractor and not as an agent or employee of the City. Any and all employees of the Artist engaged in the performance of any work or services required by the Artist under this Agreement shall be considered employees of the Artist only. The Artist shall furnish all supervision, labor, supplies, materials, insurance, and other incidentals needed to complete this Agreement.
ARTIST AS INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR. Unless otherwise provided for herein, the Artist and Engager agree that the Artist is engaged as an independent contractor and nothing in this Agreement shall be construed to create an employee-employer relationship between the Artist and the Engager.

ARTIST AS INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR. The parties intend that an independent contractor relationship will be created by this CONTRACT. The ARTIST performing under this CONTRACT is not an employee, SUBCONTRACTOR, or agent of BUYER. The ARTIST will not hold himself/herself out as nor claim to be an officer or employee of BUYER nor will the ARTIST make any claim of right, privilege, or benefit which would accrue to an employee under law. Conduct and control of the work completed under this CONTRACT will be solely with the ARTIST. The ARTIST shall execute the WORK at a location determined by the ARTIST.
ARTIST AS INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR.
13.1 The parties acknowledge that the Artist and the Artist’s subcontractors are independent contractors and are not employees, or agents or under control of the Society or the City.
13.2 The Artist is responsible for payment of all costs related to the Work, including but not limited to subcontractors, required materials, supplies, equipment, labor of assistants,
ARTIST AS INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR. The Artist is an independent contractor pursuant to Florida law and assumes full responsibility for completion of the services.
ARTIST AS INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR. The Artist, and his/her agents and employees, are independent contractors performing services for NMAD and are not employees of the New Mexico Arts Division. The Artist, his/her agents and employees, shall not accrue leave, retirement, insurance, bonding, use of state vehicles, or any other benefits afforded to employees of the New Mexico Arts Division, as a result of this Contract.
ARTIST AS INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR. The Artist is an independent contractor and is not the employee or agent of the City. The Artist will not represent to anyone that the Artist has any authority to bind the City in any way or that the Artist is an employee or agent of the City. Since the Artist is not an employee of the City, the Artist is not entitled to any employment benefits of any kind, including but not limited to Canadian Pension Plan premiums, Unemployment Insurance premiums, Medical Services Plan premiums, Extended Health Care Plan, Dental Services Plan, life insurance, retirement pension benefits, long term disability coverage, sick leave, vacation pay, Employees Savings Plan benefits or gratuity day benefits.
