Independent Contractor Status. The Sub-Adviser shall for all purposes hereof be deemed to be an independent contractor and shall, unless otherwise provided or authorized, have no authority to act for or represent the Trust or the Adviser in any way or otherwise be deemed an agent of the Fund or the Adviser.

Independent Contractor Status. The Adviser shall, for all purposes herein provided, be deemed to be an independent contractor and, except as expressly provided or authorized herein, shall have no authority to act for or represent the Company in any way or otherwise be deemed an agent of the Company.
Independent Contractor Status. By its signature on this contract, Contractor certifies that the service or services to be performed under this Contract are those of an independent contractor, and that Contractor is solely responsible for the work performed under this Contract. Contractor shall pay all wages, salaries, and other amounts due such personnel in connection with their performance of Services under this Contract and as required by law including, but not limited to, the payment of prevailing wage, as applicable, and in accordance with Labor Code sections 1720 et seq. and 1770 et seq. The Contractor shall obtain a copy of the prevailing rates of per diem wages applicable to the work to be performed under this Agreement from the website of the Division of Labor Statistics and Research of the Department of Industrial Relations located at xxxxx://xxx.xxx.xx.xxx/public-works/CaliforniaPrevailingWageLaws.pdf Contractor shall be responsible for all reports and obligations respecting such employees, including, but not limited to, social security taxes, income tax withholding, unemployment insurance, and workers' compensation insurance. If the District is using State funds for the Project and is required to enforce a Labor Compliance Program (“LCP”), then Contractor will be required to enforce the District's Labor Compliance Program ("LCP"), as applicable.
Independent Contractor Status. CONTRACTOR and COUNTY have reviewed and considered the principal test and secondary factors below and agree that CONTRACTOR is an independent contractor and not an employee of COUNTY. CONTRACTOR is responsible for all insurance (workers compensation, unemployment, etc.) and all payroll related taxes. CONTRACTOR is not entitled to any employee benefits. COUNTY agrees that CONTRACTOR shall have the right to control the manner and means of accomplishing the result contracted for herein.

Neither Contractor, nor the Contractor’s employees or personnel, shall be required to wear any uniforms provided by the Client; The Services required by this Agreement shall be performed by the Contractor, Contractor’s employees or personnel, and the Client will not hire, supervise, or pay assistants to help the Contractor; Neither Contractor nor Contractor’s employees or personnel shall receive any training from the Client in the professional skills necessary to perform the Services required by this Agreement; and Neither the Contractor nor Contractor’s employees or personnel shall be required by the Client to devote full-time to the performance of the Services required by this Agreement.
Independent Contractor Status. While engaged in carrying out the Services of this Contract, the Contractor is an independent contractor, and not an officer, employee, agent, partner, or joint venture of the District. Contractor shall be solely responsible for its own Worker's Compensation insurance, taxes, and other similar charges or obligations. Contractor shall be liable for its own actions, including its negligence or gross negligence, and shall be liable for the acts, omissions, or errors of its agents or employees.
Independent Contractor Status. The Consultant shall perform all services under this Agreement as an “independent contractor” and not as an employee or agent of the Company. The Consultant is not authorized to assume or create any obligation or responsibility, express or implied, on behalf of, or in the name of, the Company or to bind the Company in any manner.
