Association Sponsored Education Fund. On or around July 1st of each year covered by this Understanding, the City shall pay the Association an amount sufficient to fund the Education Fund to $35,000. The Education Fund is to be used for educational purposes at the sole and exclusive discretion of the Association.

Association Sponsored Education Fund. On or around July 1st of each year, the City shall pay the Association an amount sufficient to fund the Education Fund to $80,000. The Education Fund is to be used for educational purposes at the sole and exclusive discretion of the Association. The Fire Chief or his/her designee will make every reasonable attempt to send internal notice of any outside courses held in city facilities by the Department bulletin no less than thirty (30) calendar days in advance fo the first day of class. 38.5.1 The Association shall manage the Education Fund for the purposes outlined above but shall provide reimbursement of paramedics for completion of CE classes required by the Alameda County EMS Agency. 38.5.2 Personnel attending classes are not eligible for overtime compensation. Reimbursement shall only be provided to members who are off duty or are placed on OSC by his/her supervisor. 38.5.3 Of the total amount, $10,000 annually shall be allocated to support the education and development of firefighter recruits assigned to the Division of Training. These moneys shall be managed by the Division of Training. In addition, if there is more than one Firefighter I academy that begins in the same fiscal year, the City shall provide to the Education Fund an additional $10,000. The prior sentence shall be effective only following Council approval of this MOU and for the remainder of this 2017-2020 MOU, at the end of which the prior sentence will sunset and no longer be effective.

  • Education Fund Full-Time and Part-Time 27.01 If the Local Union indicates to the Hospital that a special assessment of $0.03 per hour for Union education applies to all bargaining unit members, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment along with a listing of employees will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by the applicable SEIU Local Union for this purpose.

  • Special Education Teachers Elementary/Secondary Special Education Coordinators shall be compensated for an extended work day in the amount of four thousand dollars ($4,000).

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Special Education Special education services, related services, and accommodations for students who are eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any applicable provisions of state law, shall be provided in accordance with applicable state and federal law, this Agreement and Authorizer rules and policies. The Authorizer is the LEA for purposes of ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and all other federal and state laws and regulations concerning accommodation of and education of students with disabilities.

  • Continuing Education The Hospital and the Union recognize that continuing education is important for all employees and that they have shared interests and responsibilities in ensuring equitable access to it.

  • Fund Administration Money Market Fund Services Subject to the authorization and direction of the Trust, the Administrator will provide the money market fund services set forth on Schedule A(i) (the “Money Market Services”) to the Trusts listed on Exhibit A hereto assist the Trusts in complying with certain of the compliance testing and reporting requirements applicable to the Trusts that are “money market funds” within the meaning of Rule 2a-7 under the 1940 Act.

  • Fund Administration Treasury Services Prepare for the review by designated officer(s) of the Trusts’ financial information that will be included in the Trusts’ semi-annual and annual shareholder reports (which shall also be subject to review by the Trusts’ legal counsel), and other quarterly reports (as mutually agreed upon), including tax footnote disclosures where applicable;

  • Paid Education Leave The Company agrees to pay into a special fund effective January 1st, 2013 and each year thereafter, two thousand ($2,000.00) for the purpose of providing Paid Education Leave. Said Paid Education Leave will be for the purpose of upgrading the Dependent Contractor’s skills in all aspects of trade union functions. Such monies will be paid into a trust fund established by the National Union, Unifor and sent by the Company to the following address: Unifor Education Leave Program c/o Unifor 000 Xxxxxx Xxxxx Xxxxxxx, XX X0X 0X0 The Company further agrees that members of the bargaining unit selected by the Union to attend such courses will be granted a Leave of Absence without pay for twenty (20) days class time, plus travel time where necessary, with said Leave of Absence to be intermittent over a twelve (12) month period from the first day of leave. Dependent Contractors on such leave will continue to accrue seniority and benefits during such leave.
