Common use of Auxiliary Employee Clause in Contracts

Auxiliary Employee. (i) All time worked beyond the normal workday (seven hours) shall be deemed to be overtime. Overtime shall be paid for at the rate of time and one-half (1½x) for the first two hours and double time (2x) after two hours in any one day or shift. (ii) Auxiliary employees must have worked on each of five consecutive days to be eligible for overtime on the sixth and seventh day. Overtime on the sixth and seventh day to be paid at double time (2x). (iii) For employees identified in Clause 32.1(b), overtime will be paid for all hours worked in excess of 70 hours biweekly and for time worked in excess of five days per week.
