Common use of Auxiliary Employee Clause in Contracts

Auxiliary Employee. ‌ Means an employee who is employed for: (a) special projects; or (b) temporary positions created by the College of eight months' duration or less. These positions of 17½ hours or more per week may only be filled for consecutive terms totalling 16 months; or (c) replacement of employees on leave; or (d) part-time work of less than 17½ hours per week; or (e) positions as identified in Article 28.1(c). It is understood and agreed that temporary positions created by the College shall be reviewed by the College after four months in order to determine whether or not the position should be made permanent. The College shall report on the results of such reviews at the Labour/Management Relations Committee.
