AVAILABILITY OF TEACHERS ON CALL. 1. It shall be normal practice for the Board to employ a Teacher-On-Call to replace that teacher upon being informed of such absence.
2. Teachers, except Teachers-on-call, shall not be required:
a. to perform instructional duties of a teacher who is absent;
b. to supervise the students of a teacher who is absent, except in emergency situations.
AVAILABILITY OF TEACHERS ON CALL. A Teacher On Call shall be provided by the Board during the absence of any teacher who has teaching assignments except that
AVAILABILITY OF TEACHERS ON CALL a. Under normal circumstances, a Teacher on Call shall be provided for all absent employees who have instructional duties whenever a qualified Teacher on Call is available who can provide appropriate instruction.
AVAILABILITY OF TEACHERS ON CALL. 1. When a teacher is absent from the workplace the Board will normally provide a teacher on call to replace that teacher if a teacher on call has been requested by the teacher or principal, provided a teacher on call is available.
AVAILABILITY OF TEACHERS ON CALL. 33.1. When for any reason a teacher is absent from a school, or a District workplace, the Board shall make every reasonable effort to employ a teacher on call to replace that teacher unless there is agreement with the staff affected that this requirement be waived. The foregoing shall only apply to school-based teachers and to the teachers of the hospital and homebound program if the hospital and homebound program teachers are absent for more than two consecutive days.
33.2. Teachers, except teachers on call, shall not be required to perform the instructional duties of a teacher who is absent or to supervise the students of a teacher who is absent, except in emergency situations.
AVAILABILITY OF TEACHERS ON CALL. 14.1.1 Teachers on call shall be dispatched for day-to-day services from a list maintained by the personnel office.
AVAILABILITY OF TEACHERS ON CALL. 20.1 When, for any reason, a teacher is absent from a school or other District work place, the Board shall employ a teacher-on-call to replace that teacher forthwith, upon being informed of such absence.
AVAILABILITY OF TEACHERS ON CALL. 23.1 Teachers, except teachers on call and those teachers whose assignment is that of permanent teacher on call shall not regularly be required:
a. to perform the tuition or instructional duties of a teacher who is absent;
b. to supervise the students of a teacher who is absent except in emergency situations.
23.2 A teacher on call will be engaged in the event of the absence of a teacher due to illness, approved leave or unavoidable circumstances except in those situations and for those positions where the principal and teacher have mutually agreed at the start of the school year (or thereafter for changed circumstances) that a teacher on call should not be engaged. The continuity of the educational program shall be the main determinant of whether a teacher on call is to be engaged.
AVAILABILITY OF TEACHERS ON CALL. 1. Under normal circumstances, a Teacher On Call will be engaged when a teacher who registers a class is absent.
2. When for any reason the teacher is absent from a school for one-half (1/2) day or more, the Board shall employ a Teacher On Call to replace that teacher upon being informed of such absence.
3. Except in emergency situations, cover-off is voluntary, and as such, teachers, except Teachers On Call and those teachers whose assignment is that of permanent Teacher On Call, shall not be required:
a. to perform the tuition or instructional duties of a teacher who is absent;
b. to supervise the students of a teacher who is absent.
AVAILABILITY OF TEACHERS ON CALL. 1. When a teacher is absent from a school for half a day or longer and classroom coverage is necessary, a teacher on call shall be employed to replace that teacher.
2. When a teacher is absent from a school for less than half a day, arrangements for class coverage may be made between teachers subject to the principal's approval.
3. In emergency situations, a teacher may be required to perform the duties of a teacher who is absent or to supervise his/her students.
4. The teacher on call shall be required to assume only the duties of the teacher he/she is replacing unless advised of other circumstances before accepting the assignment.
