Teachers on Call. Teachers are expected to be on call to reasonably participate in after school activities such as staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and curriculum meetings in accordance with past practice.
Teachers on Call. 1.3.1 Any teacher on call on the Teacher on Call List pursuant to a Column C agreement at June 30, 2002 whose daily rate of pay effective June 30, 2002 is greater than the daily rate stipulated in the Column A agreement effective July 1, 2002 shall have his/her daily rate maintained until June 30, 2004 and any bridging period pursuant to Article A. 1.2 of the Collective Agreement.
1.3.2 A “Teacher on Call Schedule” shall be appended to the collective agreement that identifies each eligible teacher on call and his/her daily rate at June 30, 2002. First $159.64 First $166.70
1.3.3 The daily rate of pay for non-certificated teacher replacements in School Districts #08 (Kootenay Lake) and #82 (Coast Mountains) shall continue according to the terms and conditions of the Column C agreement unless varied pursuant to 9.3.2 of this Letter of Understanding.
1.3.4 The local parties shall compile and forward these “Teacher on Call Schedules” to the provincial parties.
Teachers on Call. The Board shall pay to each teacher on call all wages, inclusive of allowances in lieu of benefits and statutory holidays, earned for the pay period, on a bi-weekly basis.
Teachers on Call. Faculty Interns will not replace Teachers on Call, except in an emergency situation.
Teachers on Call. (TOC) on pregnancy leave under Employment Standards: The framework is clear that pay for TOCs will be based on “days worked.” There is no position from which a TOC can take leave. As such, the leave provision in this XXX would not apply to TOCs and the incentive money should, therefore, be based on the actual hours worked.

Teachers on Call. 3.1 Payment of Teachers-on-call
3.1.1 Teachers-on-Call shall be paid 1/195 of Category EA(3)(0) per day (inclusive of holiday pay) plus a sum equal to 8% of his/her Teacher-on-Call pay, in lieu of benefits.

3.1.3 When a Teacher-on-Call has taught a continuing assignment for more than five
Teachers on Call. 1. Teachers on call List
a. The Board shall maintain a list of teachers on call. The Board shall forward a copy of such list with phone numbers (except unlisted) and addresses to the Union in the month of September and in the month of January in each school year. Changes to the list shall be provided monthly. The September list shall be in order of accumulated days of teaching- on-call in Xxxxxxx.
b. The Board shall not remove a teacher on call from the list except for just and reasonable cause bearing in mind the nature of teacher on call work. When a teacher on call is removed from the list, written reasons shall be given to the teacher on call with a copy to the Union.
2. Teachers on call Hiring
a. In appointing teachers on call, the Board shall, pursuant to Section 19 of the School Act, select a person on the list qualified for the assignment who possesses a valid B.C. teaching certificate, in preference to a person not possessing such a certificate.
b. The Board may assign persons not on the list to a teacher on call assignment only in the event that no available person on the list possesses the necessary qualifications for the assignment.
c. A teacher xxx, for educational reasons, request a specific teacher on the list to act as a teacher on call.
d. Subject to [c] above, and subject to operational requirements, the Board shall make every reasonable attempt to provide equal employment opportunity to the persons on the teacher on call list by offering employment to the first person on the list with the necessary qualifications and continuing in that order until everyone on the list has been contacted before repeating the cycle
e. When a teacher on call completes twenty (20) days continuous teaching on the same assignment, a term contract shall be granted retroactively to the commencement of the assignment.
f. The teacher on call initially assigned to a class where the teacher is absent for an indefinite time shall normally be permitted to continue the assignment until the absent teacher returns unless special skills are necessary to maintain an ongoing program or the teacher on call does not have the required training and experience for the ongoing assignment.
3. Except in an emergency, the teacher on call shall be required to assume only the duties of the teacher the teacher on call is replacing. The teacher on call may be required to perform the duties of more than one teacher provided that they are informed of such duties at time of call out.
