Benchmark Sidewalk Inventory Data Collection. Chair Wight advised that School District staff had administered a survey to all Municipalities relating to sidewalk issues or gaps within a two (2) mile radius of schools where no School District transportation is provided. She said the School District is trying to generate a sidewalk database. Chair Xxxxx said there were very few responses to the surveys sent out, and the ones that were received were very vague. Chair Xxxxx said there are funding opportunities for safety projects if they benefit children. She said District staff worked with Broward County staff who developed an online database and are asking for the SWG’s assistance in providing information for the database. Chair Xxxxx advised that this information is not available anywhere else in Broward County. Xx. Xxxxxxxx stated that the School District does not provide transportation for children who live in a two (2) mile radius of their school. He said the collection of this database will be long term and will have many partners. Xx. Xxxxxxxx said staff is trying to collect data regarding how many students walk to school. He stated this information will provide sidewalk connectivity across Broward County and will help benefit the community. Xx. Xxxxxxxx said the School District plans to bring this information to the Oversight Committee because it ties into the TRILA. Chair Wight said the School District disseminated a Safe Routes to Schools Travel Survey Districtwide. She said the District is trying to get parents feedback regarding whether safety, lighting, etc. are a concern when their children walk to and from school. Chair Xxxxx said the process was done through the District’s Online Wizard when parents sign their children up for school and was a survey at the end of that process. She said there was not much response, but that staff would retool the process to increase participation. Chair Xxxxx said hard copies were also disseminated through the Student Code Book. Brief discussions followed regarding the generation of data and receiving feedback from the schools and the community. Xx. Xxxxxxxx said the school administration is trying to give principals the space needed to focus on student education. He said to contact Chair Xxxxx if there are communication challenges when dealing directly with the schools. Xxxxxxxxx Xxxxx, Broward County, stated that she had met with Xx.   • Loss Leader; Recycled Products Contractor shall not sell or use any article or product as a “loss leader” as defined in Section 17030 of the Business and Professions Code. If Contractor will sell to the Judicial Council, or use in the performance of this Agreement, goods specified in PCC 12207 (for example, certain paper products, office supplies, mulch, glass products, lubricating oils, plastic products, paint, antifreeze, tires and tire-derived products, and metal products), then with respect to those goods: (i) Contractor shall use recycled products in the performance of this Agreement to the maximum extent doing so is economically feasible, and (ii) upon request, Contractor shall certify in writing under penalty of perjury, the minimum, if not exact, percentage of post consumer material as defined in the PCC 12200, in such goods regardless of whether the goods meet the requirements of PCC 12209.

  • Preservative-treated Wood Containing Arsenic Contractor may not purchase preservative-treated wood products containing arsenic in the performance of this Agreement unless an exemption from the requirements of Chapter 13 of the San Francisco Environment Code is obtained from the Department of the Environment under Section 1304 of the Code. The term “preservative-treated wood containing arsenic” shall mean wood treated with a preservative that contains arsenic, elemental arsenic, or an arsenic copper combination, including, but not limited to, chromated copper arsenate preservative, ammoniacal copper zinc arsenate preservative, or ammoniacal copper arsenate preservative. Contractor may purchase preservative-treated wood products on the list of environmentally preferable alternatives prepared and adopted by the Department of the Environment. This provision does not preclude Contractor from purchasing preservative-treated wood containing arsenic for saltwater immersion. The term “saltwater immersion” shall mean a pressure-treated wood that is used for construction purposes or facilities that are partially or totally immersed in saltwater.
