Benefits for Extra. Hours Generally, no additional benefits, including leaves, holidays, or vacation shall be available to the employee who works extra hours/overtime. However, in the event the District knows in advance that the extra hours of work shall place the employee’s work year into a twelve (12) month capacity (e.g. a bus driver who then works a mechanic’s calendar for all break periods [winter, spring, summer breaks], then that employee shall be allowed to accrue additional benefits, including accrued leaves (e.g. vacation and sick leave) and be allowed holiday pay subject to the provisions of Sections 6.1.3 and 6.1.4 of this Agreement. Similarly, in the event the District knows in advance that extra days assigned to an employee during the summer break shall be fifteen (15) or more consecutive workdays (e.g. summer school custodial, summer school bus drivers), then that employee shall be entitled to holiday pay for any holiday that occurs during that assignment subject to the provisions of Sections 6.1.3 and 6.1.4 of this Agreement.

  • Benefits for Early Retirees The Hospital will provide to all employees who retire and have not yet reached age sixty-five (65) and who are in receipt of the Hospital’s pension plan benefits, semi-private, extended health care and dental benefits on the same basis as is provided to active employees, as long as the retiree pays the Employer the full amount of the monthly premiums in advance.

  • Requests for Exclusion Any Settlement Class member who wishes to opt-out of the Settlement must complete and mail a Request for Exclusion (defined below) to the Settlement Administrator within sixty (60) calendar days of the date of the initial mailing of the Notice Packets (the “Response Deadline").

  • Compensation for Employees Employees shall receive compensation at the biweekly or hourly rate for the range and step or flat rate assigned to the class in which they are employed.

  • For example If an employee utilises two weeks recreation leave over a period of four weeks at half pay, service based entitlements (e.g. personal leave, long service leave, paid parental leave) will be deferred by two weeks.

  • Credit for Experience A. Newly employed teachers will receive the equivalent year's credit for each year of experience. The experience granted will be equal to the FTE experience for each year worked. This credit will be granted if, in the judgment of the Superintendent, the teaching experience has been appropriate to the position which has been offered. For example, teaching experience at the secondary level may not be appropriate if the applicant is being considered for an elementary position. Placement on the salary schedule beginning with the 2017-18 contract year will be accomplished in the following manner:

  • Liability for expenses Each party will pay its own expenses incurred in negotiating, executing, stamping and registering this Participation Agreement.

  • Time Off for Elections Employees shall be allowed four (4) consecutive hours off before the closing of the polls in any Federal, Provincial, or Municipal election or referendum.

  • Benefits for Part-Time Employees (a) A part-time employee including a casual employee, and a temporary employee shall receive in lieu of all fringe benefits (being those benefits to an employee, paid in whole or part by the Hospital, as part of direct compensation or otherwise, including holiday pay, save and except salary, vacation pay, standby pay, call back pay, reporting pay, responsibility allowance, jury and witness duty, bereavement pay, and maternity supplemental unemployment benefits) an amount equal to 14% of his/her regular straight time hourly rate for all straight time hours paid.

  • Benefits for Retirees The Employer will continue payment of Extended Health, Semi-Private Health Care Coverage or equivalent for any employee from the date of early retirement to the age of sixty-five (65). However, the Employer will not continue payment of the Dental Plan or any other benefit plan, and employees will not be entitled to subscribe to same under any conditions.

  • Reimbursement for Expenses Consultant shall not be reimbursed for any expenses unless authorized in writing by City.
