Bus Driver. The term "bus driver" when used hereinafter in this Agreement shall refer to both part-time and full-time bus drivers represented by the Association in the bargaining or negotiating unit as above defined.
Bus Driver. A bus driver shall work a minimum of one hundred seventy-eight (178) days per year, plus nine (9) paid holidays. The minimum workday shall be four and a quarter (4.25) hours.
Bus Driver. A bus driver will have the necessary knowledge and ability to perform such services required within the school transportation program. Employer will provide all necessary training in compliance with DOT and state regulations at the employers expense and will from time to time update new regulations.
5.2 The employer will provide all necessary training in compliance with government regulations at the employer’s expense. The employer will from time to time update the employee on new regulations.
Bus Driver. The term “Bus Driver” used under the terms and conditions of this Agreement is determined to mean—“Regular Full-Time Driver” and “Regular Part-Time Driver,” and does not include “Substitute Drivers.”
A. Regular Full-time Drivers: A driver who has satisfactorily completed his/her probationary period and who selects or is permanently assigned a regular bus schedule of six (6) hours per day or more; or thirty (30) hours per week or more on a regular basis, and who continues to drive these runs until the next selection period; or unless the run schedule is otherwise modified.
B. Regular Part-Time Drivers: A driver who has satisfactorily completed his/her probationary period and who selects or is permanently assigned a regular bus schedule of less than six (6) hours per day; or less than thirty (30) hours per week, and who continues to drive these runs until the next selection period; or unless the run schedule is otherwise modified.
Bus Driver shall undergo a physical examination annually by a licensed physician and present a signed physical examination to the board of education. The examination shall be provided by a physician designated by the district. The cost of this examination will be paid by the district. A driver shall be in good physical and mental health. Vision and hearing shall be adequate to meet the requirements for securing a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and a Missouri School Bus Driving Permit. Must pass the Post Offer Employment Test provided by the district. Employees must be capable of physically completing the tasks essential to the job and the district has the right to reassess the employee at any time to determine if they are capable of performing the duties assigned. A driver must be duly licensed by the State of Missouri and hold a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and Missouri School Bus Driving Permit. Both licenses must contain appropriate endorsements by the State of Missouri. School Bus drivers whose ability to safely operate a school bus has been impaired by a physical or mental injury or disease, as
Bus Driver. Any person employed by the Board to drive a school bus or school transportation vehicle who is assigned a regular daily assignment with established daily work hours including each unassigned drive, or individual assigned to a Bus Aide position who maintains a valid CDL; is a member of the bargaining unit or is a probationary employee working toward full bargaining unit status.
Bus Driver. Trainer: The District agrees to retain or to send one (1) driver to school to be certified as a trainer, to be responsible for the training of drivers when required at a premium pay of $2.00 per hour for time spent on the road training or in the classroom training.
Bus Driver. A school bus driver who has a driver’s license in the appropriate class for the type of vehicle and a competency certificate to drive a school bus.
Bus Driver. Shared Opportunity Overtime
(a) All drivers who wish to be placed on the master volunteer list for “off-day work” for a complete board period must submit a completed Bus Driver Volunteer Form to the Steeprock Planning section not later than noon on the Tuesday prior to the start of that board period. Drivers may declare to only be assigned work from their home base group and or the specific off-days for which they are volunteering and by so doing will have declared their unavailability for their other off days. Drivers will also have the availability of specifying “volunteer” for special events. Vacation swing drivers may identify specific off day availability for each week of the board period. A separate form may also be submitted by drivers who wish to volunteer for a special event.
(b) From the forms received by the deadline, separate master full- time and part-time driver lists will be compiled for all home base groups combined, in order of classification seniority. These two master volunteer lists will indicate the home base group and will be posted on the Thursday afternoon prior to the start of the board period.
(c) A driver who wishes to temporarily remove his availability for “off- day” overtime must notify the Planning section not later than two days in advance of the affected date. If such notification is not provided, and/or on the third and subsequent occasions during the board period (regardless of notification lead time), that driver’s name shall be removed from the master list.
(d) As each Daily Slip is being prepared and after open work assignments have been completed to all available spare drivers, any remaining work that has been selected to be assigned as overtime work will first be assigned to available “off-day” drivers on the master volunteer lists, in order of the current list
Bus Driver. A qualified, licensed, full time Transportation Employee (4 12 hours minimum) who is assigned a regular bus route.
