Benefits Upon Rehire. An employee who is reemployed within ninety (90) days after the expiration of the leave of absence without right to return shall retain the following benefits:  Hire date.  Benefit date for purposes of leave accruals and step advances; except that the benefit date will be advanced for the period of time the employee is on leave of absence without right to return.  Any sick leave accruals that had not been cashed out will be restored.
