Common use of Bilingual Pay Differential Clause in Contracts

Bilingual Pay Differential. A monthly salary differential shall be paid to incumbents of positions requiring bilingual proficiency as designated by the Fire Chief and the Human Resources Director. The differential shall be prorated for employees working less than full time and/or on an unpaid leave of absence during any given month. The differential shall be sixty-five dollars ($65) per month. Designation of positions for which bilingual proficiency is required is the sole prerogative of the County, and such designations may be amended or deleted at any time.
