Common use of Blood Donor Leave Clause in Contracts

Blood Donor Leave. 34.1 A full-time Employee who is absent during ordinary working hours for the purpose of donating blood will be paid their Ordinary Hourly Rate of pay for the duration of his/her attendance at a recognized place for donating blood to a maximum of two (2) hours on each occasion and subject to a maximum of 4 separate absences each calendar year.

The employee will arrange for this absence to be on a day suitable to the employer and be close as possible to the beginning or ending of his ordinary working hours.
