Common use of Break Periods Clause in Contracts

Break Periods. All employees working shifts of three (3) hours or more but less than six (6) hours shall be permitted one (1) fifteen (15) minute rest period. Employees working shifts of six (6) or more hours shall receive two (2) fifteen (15) minute rest periods; one (1) in the first half and one (1) in the second half of a shift.

Employees working shifts of six (6) or more hours shall receive provided two (2) fifteen (15) minute rest periods; breaks during each shift of six or more hours for a total of approximately thirty (30) minutes break time each shift to be arranged with the approval of the supervisor. Employees working less than a six hour shift per day, but at least a four (4) hour shift per day, shall have one fifteen (115) in the first half and one (1) in the second half of a shiftminute break.
