BRIGAID Inc a potential ‘one-stop shop’ for supporting the development of climate innovation‌ The interaction with a broad number of innovators and end users is proving that BRIGAID is useful as an integrated offer to support the development of innovations improving resilience against extreme climatic events. However, the commercial exploitation of the tools and knowledge developed throughout BRIGAID remains a big challenge. To explore this option, a core team of BRIGAID partners has been discussing (including regular telcos, and a 2 day workshop meeting in Delft1) on how to articulate this commercial exploitation. As a consensus solution, it has been agreed to explore the option of creating a joint venture (still unnamed and referred in this document as ‘BRIGAID Inc.’) for the exploitation of BRIGAID results in an integrated manner. The results of this thinking and testing are presented below, which outlines the context for BRIGAID Inc., the value it (could) offer, beneficiaries and potential revenue streams, and next steps. A summary of this information has been produced as a brochure (see Annex 3). 1 On the 9th and 10th of July, several partners in the BRIGAID program met in Delft for two consecutive days of brainstorming and strategizing about the future exploitation of the tools and procedures developed during the BRIGAID programme, and WP6-7 in particular, under the working title of BRIGAID Inc. During the first day, a condensed and adapted version of the BRIGAID Business Plan Workshop sessions were led by TFC, resulting in a preliminary overview of the core values offered by the BRIGAID partners, potential clients, (unvalidated) revenue models, possible organisational structures and a rough Business Model Canvas. During the second day, these ideas were presented to the project coordinator, who was able to visit in the morning and provide some feedback on the initial ideas. These were then further crystalized during the second day, along with defining the most important next steps in order to make the concept ‘market ready’. This section presents a summary of the results of this internal workshop.

  • LABOUR MANAGEMENT RELATIONS 9:01 No employee or group of employees shall undertake to represent the Union at meetings with the Employer without the proper authorization of the Union. The Employer shall not meet with any employee or group of employees undertaking to represent the Union without the proper authorization of the Union. In representing an employee or group of employees, a representative of the Union shall be the spokesperson. In order that this may be carried out, the Union shall supply the Employer with the names of its Officers and representatives. Likewise the Employer shall supply the Union with a list of its Designated Authorities and Chairs where the Chair is not the Designated Authority. Neither the Union nor the Employer shall be required to recognize such representatives until written notification has been received. 9:02 The Union and the Employer acknowledge the mutual benefit of joint consultation and agree, therefore, that there shall be a joint labour/management committee consisting of three (3) representatives from and selected by each party. There shall be one (1) regularly scheduled Labour/Management Committee meeting in each four (4) month term or semester (January to April, May to August, September to December). In addition, meetings shall be arranged at the request of either party through the Labour Relations Department, by submitting in writing the topics to be discussed. Such meetings shall take place, at a mutually-agreeable time, within ten (10) working days of the receipt of the request for the meeting. Meetings shall not be used to discuss matters which are the subject of a grievance nor to discuss any matters which are, at the time, the subject of collective bargaining. The committee shall function in an advisory capacity only, making recommendations to the Union and/or the Employer with respect to its discussions and conclusions, and shall not have the power to add to or modify the terms of this agreement. A representative of each party shall be designated Co-Chairperson, and the two persons so designated shall alternate in presiding over meetings.

  • Labor Management Relations The Employer and the Union recognize that the character and quality of the Union/Management relationship in each Agency has an impact upon productivity and quality services. Accordingly, the parties agree to support joint Labor/Management training in skills and concepts which may contribute to increased Union/Management understanding and cooperative relationships.

  • School Day The school day for members of the bargaining unit shall not exceed seven and one-half (7½) hours of consecutive time which shall include a duty-free, uninterrupted lunch period of no less than thirty (30) minutes.

  • Western LONDON agrees that it will keep records relating to its services hereunder in accordance with all applicable laws, and in compliance with the requirements of Rule 31a-3 under the 1940 Act, WESTERN LONDON hereby agrees that any records that it maintains for the Fund are the property of the Fund, and further agrees to surrender promptly to the Fund any of such records upon the Fund’s request. WESTERN LONDON further agrees to arrange for the preservation of the records required to be maintained by Rule 31a-1 under the 1940 Act for the periods prescribed by Rule 31a-2 under the 1940 Act.
