British Standards a. These provisions shall apply only where any of the Material is supplied by a Contractor.
b. Except where specified to the contrary all Materials are to comply with the latest British Standard specification or equivalent national standard of another Member State of the European Community or international standard (whichever is the higher). All Materials shall be fit for purpose.
c. In the event of the Nominated Officer (whose decision shall be final) not being satisfied that the Materials meet the required standard the Contractor shall comply with the latest British Standard Specification and no claim for additional costs incurred with such compliance will be accepted. Except where specified in the Tender Documentation to the contrary all workmanship is to comply with the latest British Standard Code of Practice.
British Standards. 36.1 Where an appropriate British Standard Specification or British Standard Code of Practice issued by the British Standards Institution is current all goods used and services supplied shall be in accordance with that standard and unless the Supplier’s quality assurance so complies the Supplier shall secure that its quality assurance complies with BS5750. This quality standard is for services or procedures by which a company’s design, manufacturing and servicing output can be judged.
British Standards. All goods, materials and workmanship not otherwise specified shall be in accordance with the latest British Standards where such exist and to the satisfaction of the Contract Administrator.

Where an appropriate British Standard Specification or British Standard Code of Practice issued by the British Standards Institution is current all goods used or supplied in connection with the provision of Services under the Contract and all workmanship shall as a minimum requirement be in accordance with that standard or equivalent European standard without prejudice to any higher standard required by this Contract.
