Clearing must be completed before starting excavation and embankment. 3-7 RIGHT-OF-WAY DECKING Purchaser shall deck all right-of-way timber. Decks must be parallel to the road centerline and placed within the cleared right-of-way. Decks must be free of dirt, limbs, and other right-of-way debris, and removable by standard log loading equipment from the roadbed.
BRUSH REMOVAL. All vegetation including brush and trees 6” or less DBH shall be cut and chipped and all stumps ground flush to GROUND level. All stumps encountered, regardless of size must be ground down to ground level. All woody vegetation will be ground down to a size no bigger than 2 inches wide by 16 inches long. At times this work will be conducted in heavily used recreation areas so the Contractor shall have to take extra precaution and ensure that flying debris does not damage property or causes bodily harm to patrons. Note: Concerning brush removal, the unit will be acre and can be broken down into tenths of an acre.
