Common use of Building Checks Clause in Contracts

Building Checks. The maintenance supervisor/administration shall determine the need for building checks on week-ends, holidays, during summer months, or other days the school is not in session. Their rate of pay will equal a minimum of one (1) hour of pay per building per day. Any employee needed to work over the first hour shall be paid at a rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times their regular rate of pay only if they have worked over the forty (40) hour work week. Any employee shall not be required to do building checks the day preceding or the day following a leave due to vacation or illness.
