This may require the scheduling of make-up work shifts as determined by administration in coordination with the school calendar.
B. Except for those non-teaching employees who are expected to report for regular work on a calamity day, no heatfor any other employee who is required to work during any of the five (5) work days on which school is closed for calamity, etcsaid employee will be paid one and one-half (1½) times their regular rate of pay for all hours worked, but this pay will not be in addition to the employee’s regular rate of pay for the calamity hours. For those non-teaching employees who are expected to report for regular work on a calamity day, they will receive one hour of flex or comp time (if applicable) for every hour actually worked on a calamity day. Employees will work shifts on calamity days as directed by their supervisor.
C. On school days which are declared delayed or early release, all employees will report for duty and will work all hours as directed by their immediate supervisor, except for the sheriff closes the roadscustodian and maintenance classifications and will report for duty as per their regularly scheduled workday.

CALAMITY DAYS. 15.05 With respect to no wateran extracurricular activity scheduled on a calamity day, no heatwhich extracurricular activity falls outside the regularly scheduled work hours of the employees required to work on such calamity day, etc. or the sheriff closes immediate supervisor shall determine which custodians are required to work with the roadsfurther understanding that such determination will be on a rotation basis by classification seniority.

CALAMITY DAYS. 17.01 In the event that the schools of the School District are those days of scheduled operation when unanticipated events closed for an entire school day due to an epidemic, weather conditions, or conditions require closing of a Board facility or facilities by the Superintendent. B. Each employee who has been paid for a Calamity Day, employees will but does not work that Calamity Day, shall be required to work when any student make-up day scheduled by the facility Board without any additional compensation.
17.03 An annual in-service day shall be established in which they work the calendar for all classified staff. If an initial Calamity Day is closed. For all remaining calamity days in a school year, called the employees will be required to report to work during the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Employees may use personal or sick leave on a calamity day as set forth in which they are required to work. Requests to use personal leave on calamity days do not need to be submitted three (3) days in advance in accordance with Article 28 of this Agreement, but employees shall notify a Building Administrator or other system as designated by the administration no later than one (1) hour prior to the time he is scheduled to report to work.
Section 42.3 Employees who are on vacation or a leave of absence when a calamity day is declared will not receive calamity day paySections 17.01 and 17.02. If on vacation, they will receive vacation pay for which they are entitled. Employees who are scheduled for a personal, sick, or compensatory that day on the day of a declared calamity will have that personal, sick, or compensatory day reinstated. These reinstatements will not be made when only up then the employee who was paid for that day but did not work would be required to report to the annual in-service day that is established without pay. These employees who worked the Calamity Day would be paid their regular daily rate. Additional Calamity Days are not subject to this Section. Section 42.5 The rest of 17.04 It is understood and agreed that this Article provision does not apply to Early Intervention Specialists. Early Intervention Specialists who are scheduled to work on calamity days shall work their regularly scheduled hours, delayed school day starts or earlier as released by the Superintendent, at their regular rate of pay unless the building where the employees work is closed due to no water, no heat, etc. or the sheriff closes the roadsweather related early release days.

CALAMITY DAYS. Section 42.1 Calamity days A. Unless a Level 3 Emergency has been declared in Athens County or employee’s county of residence, Service & Support Administration staff members are expected to report for work.
1. In instances of severe weather conditions, when a program and/or facility is closed, those days of unit members who are required to work and are unable to report for work or who report after their regularly scheduled operation when unanticipated events or conditions require closing of a Board facility or facilities starting time (in no event later than 10:00 A.M., unless approved by the Superintendent) shall be permitted to use sick leave time, personal leave time, vacation time or leave without pay to account for the time missed from work.

If a Level 3 Emergency has been declared in Athens County or employee’s county of residence, which prevents employees from traveling on the roads, then employees will not be required to report to work when until the facility in which they emergency conditions have expired. If the emergency conditions continue throughout an employee’s scheduled work is closed. For all remaining hours, then the employee will be paid for a calamity day, up to a maximum of five calamity days in a school calendar year. CALAMITY DAYS. Section 42.1 Calamity days 19.01 The Superintendent, in consultation with the appropriate administrators, will establish work schedules for the support staff. Work schedules may be changed as required to meet the needs of the District.
19.02 When school is canceled or closed because of inclement weather or other calamity, the following support staff employees are those days expected to report to work, unless a Fairfield County Level 2 or 3 Snow Emergency is declared:
A. District Office personnel;
B. Custodial employees;
C. Maintenance/grounds employees; and
D. Secretarial employees (who may report on a two-hour delay when school is canceled or closed).
19.03 Specific job duties or responsibilities may require some employees to report to work in the instance of Level 2 snow emergencies. The Superintendent/designee determines whether or not conditions are too hazardous to expect employees to report for work at the regularly scheduled operation time, at a later time, or not at all. The work classifications and number of employees required to work on a day when unanticipated events or conditions require closing of a Board facility or facilities school is closed will be determined by the Superintendent. /designee in consultation with building and District administrators.
19.04 Employees who are required to work at times when school is closed will be paid a regular rate of pay unless: (a) the day is one that the District is required to make up in order to complete the required school year as approved by the Board, and (b) the hours worked are hours for which the employee is otherwise entitled to overtime compensation.
19.05 Employees who are required to report for work when school is closed and who fail to report will not receive any compensation for that day and may be subject to disciplinary action.
19.06 Non 12-month employees who are required to work on both a calamity day and a make- up day will be paid for working the make-up to three (3) calamity days per year. However, employees will not be paid for school days or hours added to the school year in order to meet the state-mandated school year requirement.

25.3 It is the responsibility of the Director of Human Resources to notify the time he is scheduled LSSA President, each employee on the list, and the sheriff’s department of all essential employees by September 15th of each school year. If the Fairfield County Sheriff has declared a Level Three Emergency, all employees not identified on the above list shall not be required to report to work.

Administrators and Supervisors shall attempt to grant compensatory time off that is convenient to both the employer and employee. Compensatory time may not accrue beyond June 30 in any year. If compensatory time off is impractical, the Superintendent or Treasurer may authorize premium pay at the appropriate hourly or per diem rate. Hours worked on calamity days and compensatory time off granted must be reported to the payroll department on the appropriate time cards to ensure accountability. Such cards must be approved by the administrator or supervisor responsible. Support staff employees are required to report for work when an individual building is closed for an emergency such as a broken water line, unless they are specifically instructed to stay at home. They may be reassigned to a different work station for the duration of the emergency by their usual supervisor. Two hour delays equal a normal work day. The Superintendent or designee shall call for a two hour delay or a calamity day at his/her earliest convenience, such as 5:00 a.m. or the sheriff closes the roadsnight before.

CALAMITY DAYS. Section 42.1 Calamity 9.01 When schools are closed by the Superintendent because of weather, epidemic or other public calamity during any days allowed by the State, bus drivers, food service workers, building secretaries and aides shall not be required to report to work unless they have duties to perform at schools that are not closed due to the calamity. Transportation services will be suspended to all schools served by the Bexley school buses on those days of scheduled operation when unanticipated events or conditions require closing of a Board facility or facilities the Bexley Schools are closed by the SuperintendentSuperintendent due to weather calamity. Employees Where Bexley Schools are open but the schools to which the driver transports students are closed as a calamity day, the following rules apply:
A. The driver will be paid for up to three the normal route time involved for the school(s) that was (3were) closed.
B. The driver will be paid as non-calamity pay for hours driven for Bexley Schools on such days per year. However, employees when Bexley is not closed.
C. All hours paid as calamity hours would count towards the calculation of overtime.
D. Pay for field trips driven for Bexley will not be paid for school days or a normal field trip rate and hours added to over forty (40) would be paid at time and a half per the school year in order to meet the state-mandated school year requirementContract.
Section 42.2 For 9.02 Those employees not required to report to work shall be paid their regular rate of pay for scheduled hours on such calamity days.
9.03 Employees required to work on a calamity day shall be paid two and one- half times their regular rate of pay for hours worked on the first three (3) calamity days day. Thus, the employee will be paid his/her regular rate of pay as calamity day pay and time and one-half of his/her regular rate for hours actually worked on a calamity day. If the Sheriff has established a Level III emergency in a school yearFranklin County, employees will not be required to work when report unless specifically designated and legally able to do so. If an employee is absent because his/her county other than Xxxxxxxx is under a Level III emergency but Bexley is open for school, the facility in absence is excused and the employee may use available personal leave or vacation leave or be docked for the day; if Bexley is also closed on that day, Section 9.02 will apply.
9.04 Only that part of the day during which they work is closedschools are declared closed shall be considered as a calamity day.
