Committee Membership. 1. Local representatives on committees specifically established by this Collective Agreement shall be appointed by the local.

Committee Membership a. The Program Committee shall be comprised of all faculty members who teach in the program and other individuals as described in Article 16A.02 (b) and (c). Faculty members shall make up the majority of the membership of each Program Committee.
b. At the beginning of each academic year, the Program Committee may choose to invite to join the Committee other faculty members who do not teach in the program. Faculty members who agree to become members of the Program Committee shall have full voting rights. The membership of the Program Committee shall be communicated to the members’ Department Chair(s), Centre Director(s), and Xxxx(s).
c. At the beginning of each academic year, the Program Committee may choose to invite other individuals to join the Program Committee. Those invitees who agree to become members of the Program Committee will be permitted to vote on all matters except the election of the Program Director. Xxxxx and Associate Deans may be ex-officio non-voting members of Program Committees.

Committee Membership. The District shall indemnify and otherwise hold harmless any bargaining unit member serving as a participant on District, state or federally mandated committees. At District expense, the bargaining unit member(s) shall be provided with legal counsel in the event of complaints and/or litigation arising as a consequence of participation on such committees.
Committee Membership. 1. The Catastrophic Leave Bank Committee will consist of three (3) members: one (1) administrator appointed by the superintendent and two (2) teachers, JCEA members who have donated to the catastrophic leave bank will be appointed by JCEA. A designee from the central office who handles sick leave records will also meet with the committee.
2. Committee members shall maintain the confidential nature of the information supporting the requests for catastrophic leave bank days.
3. Responsibilities of the committee consist of reviewing applications for use of the catastrophic leave bank, recommending whether days from the bank shall be awarded and if so, the number of days to be awarded.
4. The committee by majority vote shall make recommendation to the Superintendent/designee to approve or disapprove the request and if approval is recommended, the number of days allowed. Superintendent/designee will consider the committee recommendation and make a final determination of the matter.
5. In the event that a member of the Catastrophic Leave Bank Committee is requesting leave from the bank, they shall be excused from the deliberation of that request.
