Common use of Cancellation of Shifts Clause in Contracts

Cancellation of Shifts. (a) The Employer shall provide a minimum of 24 hours' notice to Employees, including casual Employees, for a cancellation of a scheduled shift. (b) Where 24 hours' notice has not been provided, the affected Employee will be offered either: (i) a suitable alternative shift, or (ii) the same length of shift at the same or a comparable location. (c) An affected Employee may elect to not work on that occasion, in which case the Employee will not be paid.
