Certification to Return to Work. An employee who is ready to return to work must contact HRD, and HRD will promptly contact the employee’s physician to obtain a written clearance that the employee is certified to return to duty. The physician will be required to complete an Events DC “Medical Clearance to Return to Work Form” and return the form to HRD before the employee is permitted to return to work. The physician will be required to certify the following:  The date that the employee is authorized to return to duty;  Whether the employee is capable of performing all of the regular job duties and responsibilities associated with the employee’s position, as outlined in the employee’s position description, including whether the essential functions of the position can be performed with or without accommodations. An employee whose physician does not certify that the employee is eligible to return to work and provide the information above will not be permitted to return to duty. After HRD reviews and accepts the certification provided by the physician, HRD will contact the employee and provide the employee with a date to report to duty. The employee must report to HRD at the beginning of the employee’s shift or as soon as HRD is available on the employee’s first day back at work before the employee reports to his/her supervisor.

  • Return to Work (a) The parties recognize the duty of reasonable accommodation for individuals under the Human Rights Code of Ontario and agree that this Collective Agreement will be interpreted in such a way as to permit the Employer and the Union to discharge that duty. To that end, the Home and the Union agree to cooperate in complying with the Ontario Human Rights Code. (b) The Home and the Union agree to ongoing and timely communication by all participants. For the purposes of expediting communication the Home and the Union agree that participants will use electronic communication where available. (c) If an employee becomes disabled, including WSIB, with the result that she is unable to perform the regular functions of her position, the Employer may determine a special classification and salary, with the hope of providing an opportunity for continued employment. Positions established under this article will not constitute new classifications and shall lapse upon the termination, resignation, or retirement of the employee in question. (d) Prior to any disabled employee returning to work from a disability including WSIB to a modified/light/alternate work program, the Employer will notify and meet with members of the bargaining unit executive to consult on a back to work program for the worker. Any agreement resulting from these discussions which conflicts with the collective agreement shall, subject to agreement by the Union, prevail over any provision of this agreement in the event of a conflict. Nothing in this language obligates the Employer to establish a modified/ light/alternative work program, except as required by law.

  • Modified Work/Return to Work (a) The normal retirement age is sixty-five (65) years of age. The Employer may continue to employ an employee beyond retirement age, if the Employer determines that the employee can satisfactorily perform the requirements of her classification. (Effective December 12, 2006, the parties agree this sub- section no longer applies).   • AS9100 Certification ‌ AS9100 Certification, specifies requirements for a quality management system to demonstrate the Contractor’s ability to consistently meet the customer requirements as well as statutory and regulatory requirements for the aerospace industry. An AS9100 Certification, is not mandatory; however, Contractors who desire to compete for work within the aerospace industry are encouraged to have AS9100 Certification, during the entire term of OASIS. The Contractor shall notify the OASIS CO, in writing, if there are any changes in the status of their AS9100 Certification, and provide the reasons for the change and copies of audits from an AS9100 Certification Body, as applicable. If only part of a Contractor’s organization is AS9100, certified, the Contractor shall make the distinction between which business units or sites and geographic locations have been certified.
