Chair of Meeting. The Chair shall act as chair of a meeting of the Board of Trustees. If the Chair is not in attendance at a meeting, the Trustees present at the meeting shall select a chair for the meeting from their number. An alternate Trustee present at the meeting shall not participate in the selection of a chair for the meeting unless that alternate Trustee is entitled to vote at that meeting pursuant to subsection 4.3(e).
Chair of Meeting. Meetings of directors may be chaired by:
(a) the chair of the board, if any;
(b) in the absence of the chair of the board, the president, if any, if the president is a director; or
(c) any other director chosen by the directors if:
(i) neither the chair of the board nor the president, if a director, is present at the meeting within 15 minutes after the time set for holding the meeting;
(ii) neither the chair of the board nor the president, if a director, is willing to chair the meeting; or
(iii) the chair of the board and the president, if a director, have advised the secretary, if any, or any other director, that they will not be present at the meeting.
Chair of Meeting. The Chair shall act as chair of a meeting of the Sponsor Body. If the Chair is not in attendance at a meeting, the Vice-Chair shall act as chair of a meeting of the Sponsor Body, and if neither Chair nor the Vice-Chair is in attendance at a meeting the Representatives present at the meeting shall select a chair for the meeting from their numbers.
Chair of Meeting. 5.1 At each meeting of the TfGMC the Chair, if present, shall preside.
5.2 If the Chair is absent from a meeting of the TfGMC, the Vice-Chair, if present, shall preside.
5.3 If both the Chair and Vice-Chair of the TfGMC are absent from a meeting of the TfGMC, the Secretary shall invite the members present to elect a member to preside for the duration of the meeting or until such time as the Chair (or Vice-Chair) joins the meeting.
5.4 Any power or function of the Chair in relation to the conduct of a meeting shall be exercised by the person presiding at the meeting.
Chair of Meeting. The person presiding at the meeting may exercise any power or duty of the Mayor. Where these rules apply to Committee and Sub-Committee meetings, references to the Mayor also include the Chair of Committees and Sub- Committees.
Chair of Meeting. 5.1 At every meeting the Chair if present shall preside. If the Chair is absent the Deputy Chair if present, shall preside. If both the Chair and the Deputy Chair are absent a Vice Chair if present, shall preside. If neither the Chair, Deputy Chair or a Vice Chair is present the meeting shall elect a Chair from one of its members
5.2 For the purposes of these Standing Orders references to the Chair, in the context of the conduct of business at meetings, shall mean the person presiding under this Standing Order
5.3 The person presiding at the meeting may exercise any power or duty of the chair. Where these rules apply to sub-committee or forum meetings, references to the chair also include the chair of sub-committees or forums
Chair of Meeting. The Co-Chairs shall act as chairs of a meeting of the Sponsor Board. If a Co-Chair is not in attendance at a meeting, the other Co-Chair shall act as chair of a meeting of the Sponsor Board, and if neither Co-Chair is in attendance at a meeting, the Representatives present at the meeting shall select a chair for the meeting from their numbers.
Chair of Meeting. The person presiding at the meeting may exercise any power or duty of the Mayor.
1.4 QUORUM
1. No business shall be considered unless 16 councillors (or 25% of the membership) are present in the chamber or meeting room. If the chair considers the meeting to be inquorate, the meeting shall stand deferred for 15 minutes. If after 15 minutes’ deferment there is still no quorum then the consideration of any business not transacted shall be held over to the next ordinary meeting of the council, unless the chair fixes an alternative date.
2. The meeting of the council assembly shall commence as soon as there is a quorum, following the time at which the meeting has been appointed to be held.
3. Where more than one-third of members of the council become disqualified at the same time, then, until the number of members in office is increased to not less than two-thirds of the whole number of members in office of the council, the quorum of the council assembly shall be determined by reference to the number of members of the council remaining qualified instead of by reference to the whole number of members of the council. The quorum shall then be one-quarter of the members of the council who remain qualified.
Chair of Meeting. The Chair of any meeting of the Associates shall be the Managing Associate or, in his or her absence, the Vice-Managing Associate, or the Clinic Manager to be appointed by a majority of the Associates in attendance at the meeting present in person or represented by proxy.
Chair of Meeting. The Chairman of the Board shall be entitled to take the chair at every general meeting, or if there be no Chairman of the Board, or if at any meeting he shall not be present within fifteen minutes after the time appointed for holding such meeting, the President (if a director), or failing him a Vice-President who is a director, shall be entitled to take the chair, and if none of the Chairman of the Board, the President (if a director), or such a Vice-President shall be present within fifteen minutes after the time appointed for holding the meeting, the Shareholders present entitled to vote at the meeting shall choose another director as chairman and if no director is present or if all the directors present decline to take the chair, then the Shareholders present entitled to vote shall choose one of their number to be chairman.
