Charge Differential. The Hospital recognizes the appropriateness of 34 paying a premium of one dollar and seventy-five cents ($1.75) per hour for nurses 35 performing the responsibilities of Charge Nurse.
Charge Differential. The charge differential will be $1.50 per hour for non-exempt staff members in the Pharmacy Department and Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at University Hospital.
Charge Differential. 14.1.1 For hours of work that a non-exempt RN has been designated to perform as a relief charge nurse, the RN will be paid a premium of $ 3.00 for those hours.
14.1.2 Charge differential will be paid only for hours worked as a designated relief charge nurse.
14.1.3 Employees assigned to the Designated Charge Nurse classification will be paid a premium of $4.00 per hour for all paid hours, including PTO time and time worked at the bedside.
Charge Differential. When employees are assigned by the Employer to perform charge duties, in addition to their routine daily assignments, shall receive a differential of $2.00 per hour only when assigned by the Employer to perform the duties. Assignment of these duties will be determined by the Employer at its sole discretion.
Charge Differential. Section 1. The Hospital recognizes the appropriateness of assigning charge in the following situations:
A. Medical/Surgical when the nurse manager or Patient Care Coordinator is not acting in capacity of charge.
B. Whenever a nurse supervises another qualified nurse with a specific skill level that such nurse would not be able to work alone in the assigned unit.
C. When appropriate in other areas as assigned by the nurse manager.
D. When two (2) or more nurses are working the same shift/same area and the nurse manager or Patient Care Coordinator is not providing patient care.
Charge Differential. Effective July 1, 2000, each RN I or XX XX assigned charge duties for four (4) hours or more shall receive additional compensation for such temporary service at the rate of one dollar and twenty cents ($1.20) per hour.
Charge Differential. A nurse assigned to charge duty shall be paid a $1.50 per hour charge differential for every hour worked in a charge capacity. Charge RNs duties will be assigned by the Nurse Manager (or designee) to nurses who have expressed an interest in the charge role and demonstrate consistent competence in the skills required for the role. Each shift opportunity for Charge will be assigned on a case-by-case basis.
Charge Differential. An employee who performs the duties of charge will be compensated by an additional differential for each hour worked as follows: Individuals shall be designated as in charge of a particular unit, when the nurse manager and the nurse manager’s assistant, who have primary responsibility for that unit, are absent from the unit for two
Charge Differential. A staff nurse who is in charge of a pod for not less than two (2) consecutive hours or more on days, evenings or nights shall receive an additional differential of two dollars and twenty-five cents ($2.50) per hour.
Charge Differential. An employee who is assigned to perform the duties and assume the responsibility of a Charge Nurse/Team Leader shall be paid a differential of $1.50 per hour in addition to her/his regular hourly rate of pay and all other applicable differentials, including certification, for all hours actually worked as a Charge Nurse/Team Leader. Charge nurses will receive a minimum of one day orientation and a Charge nurse Workshop will be offered annually by the Education Department.
