Check Deposits. All other checks drawn on financial institutions in the U.S. will be available on the first or second day after the day of deposit, depending on the routing number on the check. The location of the routing number is shown in the shaded boxes below: Pay to the Order of Bank Name Location Some checks are marked “payable through” and have a four- or nine-digit number nearby. For these checks, use this four-digit number (or the first 4 digits of the nine-digit number), not the routing number on the bottom of the check, to determine when they will be available.
Check Deposits a. All check endorsements must be made in the first one and one-half inches of the trailing edge of the back of the check. The trailing edge is opposite the left side of the face of the check. You will be responsible for any costs incurred by the Credit Union due to delays in returning checks deposited into your account that do not comply with these endorsement standards.
b. In general, any check dated more than six months prior to presentment is considered a “stale dated” check and will not be accepted for deposit.
c. In general, any check that is written with a future date from presentment is considered a “post- dated” check and will not be accepted for deposit.
d. The Credit Union shall not be liable to any party for any losses or damages that may result from the Credit Union’s processing of any “post dated” or “stale dated” checks.
Check Deposits. Funds you deposit by check may be delayed for a longer time period based on our review of the check and your account history. They will generally be available no later than the fifth business day after the day of your deposit. Check Deposits. After we accept a check for deposit, we will attempt, acting on your behalf, to collect the funds from the financial institution on which it is drawn. We will exercise ordinary care when collecting on your behalf, but we are not responsible for errors, lost items or delays made by others in this collection process. Our Right Not to Accept Deposits: We may refuse, accept for collection only, or return all or part of any deposit, at any time, including, but not limited to: Deposit Adjustments and Errors Adjustments: We may make adjustments to your account to correct a deposit error, in our sole discretion. For example, if we determine that there is a discrepancy between the declared amount on a deposit form or other instruction and the actual amount of the funds, we may adjust (debit or credit) your account for the deposit error. It is your responsibility to ensure that the amount you declare with your deposit is accurate. Overpayments and Mistaken Deposits: If funds to which you are not entitled are credited to your account by mistake or otherwise, we may, in our discretion, deduct the amount of these funds from your account, even if the deduction results in an overdraft, without giving you any prior notice or demand. ACH Transfers Foreign Checks and Other Collection Items Collection-Only Items: We may accept checks payable in foreign currencies or payable at foreign locations, and other items on a collection basis only instead of treating them as ordinary deposits. Accepting an item on a collection basis only means that your account is typically not credited for the item until we receive payment for it from the financial institution on which it is drawn. If we elect to credit your account before then, we may deduct the amount of the item from your account if we do not receive payment for any reason. Fees: Financial institutions in the collection process and the financial institution on which the collection item is drawn may charge you fees in connection with sending and receiving items for collection, which we may pay and charge to your account. Foreign Currency Exchange: With foreign items, you agree that we or our correspondent bank may apply a foreign currency exchange rate to convert the proceeds into U.S. Dollars. The foreign exchange rate may include a spread, commission and other costs, and may differ from rates quoted elsewhere. Check Deposits. Any accepted check must be made payable to you or to ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ Bank USA and must be endorsed on the back with “For Deposit Only at ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ Bank USA” and include your Account number. You may not deposit the following types of items: (i) money orders; (ii) third-party checks (checks made payable to someone other than you); (iii) starter checks; (iv) temporary checks; (v) double-endorsed checks (checks with more than one endorsement), depending upon the branch where you make your deposit; (vi) checks older than six months; (vii) postdated checks; (viii) foreign checks; (ix) incomplete checks; (x) traveler’s checks; (xi) counter checks; (xii) checks with restrictive legends; and (xiii) other items that we have from time to time, in our sole discretion, determined not to accept. We may inadvertently accept for deposit any of the items listed above, but we bear no liability for accepting or not accepting these items for deposit. If any check is presented at or delivered to a location controlled by us or our affiliates, other than a Bank branch or the Lockbox address listed in the Contacting Us section in this Agreement, it will not be processed or deemed received by us. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to cause the check to be forwarded to the Lockbox, and the check will be considered received on the date it reaches the Lockbox facility.

Check Deposits. We do not accept checks or cash deposits. If you present a check to deposit funds to the Secured Account, we may, but are not required to, accept the check. If we accept your check, your funds will generally be available to you on the first business day after the day we receive the deposit, but may be delayed in certain circumstances. Our acceptance of a check does not waive our right to deny, or your obligation not to present, any subsequent check for deposit to the Secured Account.
