Common use of Christmas Break Clause in Contracts

Christmas Break. Employees shall receive time off with pay during that period between Boxing Day and New Year’s Day designated by the Employer as Christmas break. This does not apply to employees who are on leave of absence without pay. Where an employee is required to work during any part of that period between Boxing Day and New Year’s Day designated by the Employer as Christmas break, the employee shall receive equivalent time off without loss of pay.
