Common use of Classification Change Clause in Contracts

Classification Change. Upon change of classification, the employee shall be placed at the same step in the new classification on the salary schedule to which the employee would be entitled on the basis of continuous years of service with the District. In the case of a promotion, if the employee is not assigned to the new position within fifteen (15) working days, the employee shall begin receiving the pay of the higher position on the sixteenth (16th) day.
