Classified or administrative employee absences that extend beyond five days due to a death in the family will be charged to the employee's sick leave up to an additional 10 days. Licensed teacher employee absences that extend beyond five days due to a death in the family will be charged to the employee’s flexible leave time up to an additional eight days. If no flexible leave time is available, then the absence will be charged to sick leave. The combination of flexible leave time and sick leave cannot exceed an additional 10 days.
