LEAVE OF ABSENCE - UNION BUSINESS. Employees who have been elected or appointed to carry out business authorized by the Union on a full-time basis shall be granted a Leave of Absence for this purpose. The Union will advise the Company of the name(s) of such employee(s), the term of such leave, and the specific purpose. The Union shall repay the Company for the Company's costs incurred in Employee Benefit Plans and the employee(s) shall continue to pay their contributions directly to the Company. The Company shall provide such employees with free and reduced-rate transportation in accordance with Company regulations. Such employees shall continue to accrue seniority and service while on leave of absence.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE - UNION BUSINESS. A leave of absence without pay of up to two (2) years will be granted upon request to an employee who has been elected to a full-time office or position in the Union. The employee so elected must give two (2) months’ notice to the Employer. Further leave may be granted to an employee elected to a position in Local 2424, upon request, or for an employee elected to another office or position in the Union, by mutual consent. Seniority shall accrue during the employee’s leave of absence. The employee shall also be allowed to continue with all the employer benefit plans in accordance with 22.07.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE - UNION BUSINESS. 11.04.01 An employee who has been elected or appointed by the Union to carry out authorized business of the Union on a full-time basis will be granted a leave of absence for that purpose. The Union will advise the Company of the name of such employee, the term of the leave and the purpose. The Union will repay the Company for the Company's costs incurred in employee benefit plans and the employee will continue to pay their contributions to the Company. The Company will provide the employee with free and reduced rate transportation benefits in accordance with Free and Reduced Rate Transportation regulations. Transportation required by the employee for the execution of their duties will be provided as outlined in Article 18. The employee will continue to accrue seniority and service while on leave of absence.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE - UNION BUSINESS. A leave of absence without pay of up to two (2) years will be granted upon request to an employee who has been elected or selected to a full-time office or position in the Union. The employee so elected or selected shall endeavour to give two (2) months’ notice but not less than thirty (30) days’ notice to the Employer. Further leave may be granted to an employee elected or selected to a position in Local 2424, upon request, or for an employee elected or selected to another office or position in the Union, by mutual consent. Seniority shall accrue during the employee’s leave of absence. The employee shall also be allowed to continue with all the employer benefit plans in accordance with 22.07. Any such request for an extension shall not be unreasonably denied by the Employer. The employee shall be reinstated in their former position or a job of at least equal position and salary.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE - UNION BUSINESS. 1. Upon application by the Union, leave of absence without pay, in order to engage in the business of the Union will be granted provided that:
LEAVE OF ABSENCE - UNION BUSINESS. Bargaining representatives of the Union shall be granted leave of absence (by providing reliefs) to attend to Union business, subject to the approval of each absence by the Fire Chief.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE - UNION BUSINESS. Change: provided the Employer is given at least one (1) weeks two (2) weeks’ notice specifying the length of time off, but in no case shall the length of time exceed one (1) year.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE - UNION BUSINESS. 21.06 Upon written request, leaves of absence without pay may be given to Employees for Union business subject to the provisions of Article 21.07. The Union agrees in making request for such leave of absence that it will not unduly effect the proper operations of the Care Centre. However, the Employer agrees that permission for such leave will not be unreasonably withheld.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE - UNION BUSINESS. H-1 Leave of absence for Union business will be granted in accordance with Article 11 of the central collective agreement provided at least two (2) weeks' notice in writing, is given to the Hospital, except in extenuating circumstances. It is agreed that not more than a total of three (3) employees, full-time and part-time combined, shall be absent on such leave at the same time and only one (1) employee from any one unit, except in extenuating circumstances, in which case, two (2) employees from any one unit will be given time off.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE - UNION BUSINESS. 14.01 The employer may grant a leave of absence to allow an employee to attend Union conventions, seminars, education classes or other bona fide Union business. However, the cumulative leave granted to employees for purposes of Union business shall in no case exceed five (5) employee working days per calendar year.
