Cloud Robotics Challenges. Cloud Robotics will introduce some important benefit to robotic applications over the traditional robotics (Ren F., 2011, Xx G. et al., 2012): ▪ Offloading computation-intensive tasks to the cloud. ▪ Accessing and sharing of a vast amount of data ▪ Accessing and sharing of knowledge ▪ Sharing of capabilities and information acquired ▪ Increasing of storage ▪ Exploiting the capabilities of mobile robot to have a greater exchange of information with the environment ▪ Reducing of the cost of a single robot It allows the deployment of inexpensive robots with low computation power and memory requirements by leveraging on the communications network and the computing resources offered by the cloud infrastructure. Applications that can benefit from the cloud robotics approach are myriad and includes SLAM, grasping, navigation, monitoring, intrusion detection, surveillance and formation control (Hu G. et al., 2012). Cloud robotics has some technical challenges. One of the key benefit of the use of cloud is the capability of offload the computation task to the cloud. However the decision to offload a task requires a specific framework which can treat a list of complex issue: the amount of data exchange; the delay deadline to complete the task; the allocation of the correct virtual machine in order to optimize the execution of the offloaded tasks; finally the decision to consider whether it is more advantageous: execute the task within the network or with a standalone robot. Xx at al. (Xx G. et al., 2012) have developed a numerical analysis and have identified a consumption rate, depending on this value they can say if it’s better to operate with a network or standalone robot. The communication challenges are also a key point of clouds robotics. It’s clear how the communication delay introduced in sending the computation request to the cloud has to be taken into account. Packet delivery failures and communication outages are inherent in any wireless communications systems. For all these reasons, in the next future is important solve this problem. Communication is one of the key concept of clouds robotics. Strategies and researches have to focus their resources to develop faster and safe communication modality in order to prevent the loss of important data and support the exchange of a large amount of data.   • TECHNOLOGY/KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER ACTIVITIES The goal of this task is to develop a plan to make the knowledge gained, experimental results, and lessons learned available to the public and key decision makers. The Recipient shall: • Prepare an Initial Fact Sheet at start of the project that describes the project. Use the format provided by the CAM. • Prepare a Final Project Fact Sheet at the project’s conclusion that discusses results. Use the format provided by the CAM. • Prepare a Technology/Knowledge Transfer Plan that includes: o An explanation of how the knowledge gained from the project will be made available to the public, including the targeted market sector and potential outreach to end users, utilities, regulatory agencies, and others.

  • Commercialization Intrexon shall have the right to develop and Commercialize the Reverted Products itself or with one or more Third Parties, and shall have the right, without obligation to Fibrocell, to take any such actions in connection with such activities as Intrexon (or its designee), at its discretion, deems appropriate.

  • Problem Solving Employees and supervisors are encouraged to attempt to resolve on an informal basis, at the earliest opportunity, a problem that could lead to a grievance. If the matter is not resolved by informal discussion, or a problem-solving meeting does not occur, it may be settled in accordance with the grievance procedure. Unless mutually agreed between the Employer and the Union problem-solving discussions shall not extend the deadlines for filing a grievance. The Union Xxxxxxx or in their absence, the Local Union President, or Area Xxxxxxx, or Chief Xxxxxxx, either with the employee or alone, shall present to the appropriate supervisor a written request for a meeting. If the supervisor agrees to a problem- solving meeting, this meeting shall be held within fourteen (14) calendar days of receipt of the request. The supervisor, employee, Union Xxxxxxx, and up to one (1) other management person shall attempt to resolve the problem through direct and forthright communication. If another member of management is present that person will not be hearing the grievance at Step Two, should it progress to that Step. The employee, the Union Xxxxxxx or in their absence, the Local Union President, or Area Xxxxxxx, or Chief Xxxxxxx, may participate in problem-solving activities on paid time, in accordance with Article 31, Union Rights, Section 1H.

  • Manufacturing (a) The Supplier shall without limitation be responsible, at no additional cost to the Purchaser, for: sourcing and procuring all raw materials for the Products; obtaining all necessary approvals, permits and licenses for the manufacturing of the Products; providing sufficient qualified staff and workers to perform the obligations under this Purchase Agreement; implementing and maintaining effective inventory and production control procedures with respect to the Products; and handling other matters as reasonably requested by the Purchaser from time to time.

  • Drug Test Results 1. All records pertaining to department-required drug tests shall remain confidential, and shall not be provided to other employers or agencies without the written permission of the person whose records are sought. However, medical, administrative, and immediate supervisory personnel may have access to relevant portions of the records as necessary to insure the acceptable performance of the officer's job duties.

  • Manufacture 2.1. The LED(s) on the LED module shall be equipped with suitable fixation elements.

  • Field Trips Orange COUNTY funds may not be used to support any overnight and/or out of Central Florida travel, unless approved by the COUNTY’S Manager of the CCC or designee in advance. The AGENCY must have on file for field trip(s) that each participant, adult or minor, must have a signed release of liability form releasing the COUNTY from any liability. If the participant is a minor, the release must be signed by a parent/guardian. Central Florida is defined as Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Brevard, Lake, Polk, and Volusia Counties.

  • Third-Party Offerings Dell may offer Third-Party Products for use with the APEX Service through an online marketplace, or using Dell’s then-current Third-Party Product resale programs (e.g. “Extended Technologies Complete”, “Software & Peripherals (S&P)”). Third-Party Products that Distributor orders from Dell through these resale programs are referred to as “Third-Party Offerings”. Distributor may offer Third-Party Offerings to Reseller to offer to Customer for Customer’s use, at Distributor’s option, if available. If Distributor chooses to offer Third-Party Offerings to Reseller for Reseller to offer to Customer for Customer’s use, Distributor, Reseller, and Customer are responsible for complying with any terms applicable to the Third-Party Offerings, including any separate fees imposed by the provider of that Third-Party Offering (whether payable to Dell or directly to the third-party provider). Distributor agrees to comply with the standard license, services, warranty, indemnity, and support terms of the third-party manufacturer/supplier (or an applicable direct agreement between Distributor and the third-party manufacturer/supplier) for the Third Party Offering. Even if Dell invoices for them, Dell does not provide support services for Third-Party Offerings. Distributor must contact the applicable third-party directly for support. Third-Party Offerings are provided “AS IS”. Any warranty, damages or indemnity claims against Dell for Third-Party Offerings are expressly excluded. Dell may suspend or terminate provision and hosting of any Third- Party Offerings at any time, and that suspension or termination will not be deemed a material change to the APEX Service for the purpose of Clause 3.2 (Material Modifications).

  • Research, Science and Technology Cooperation 1. The aims of cooperation in research, science and technology, carried out in the mutual interest of the Parties and in compliance with their policies, will be: (a) to build on existing agreements already in place for cooperation on research, science and technology; (b) to encourage, where appropriate, government agencies, research institutions, universities, private companies and other research organizations in the Parties to conclude direct arrangements in support of cooperative activities, programs or projects within the framework of this Agreement, specially related to trade and commerce; and (c) to focus cooperative activities towards sectors where mutual and complementary interests exist, with special emphasis on information and communication technologies and software development to facilitate trade between the Parties. 2. The Parties will encourage and facilitate, as appropriate, the following activities including, but not limited to:

  • Clinical 2.1 Provides comprehensive evidence based nursing care to patients including assessment, intervention and evaluation.
