Commanding Officer. The Association representative, with or without the aggrieved employee shall present the grievance in writing, signed by the employee, to the grievant’s commanding officer. The Commanding Officer shall attempt to adjust the grievance informally or respond within ten (10) days. The Commissioner will be notified as to the identity of the Association representative in writing forthwith upon his/her selection. This submission will be made within ten (10) days of the incident giving rise to the grievance or within ten (10) days of the knowledge to the individual grievant of the facts giving rise to the grievance. In the event of non-adjustment at Step 1, the Association may move the grievance to Step 2 within ten (10) days of Step 1 response. If there was no response, not later than ten (10) days after the response was due.

  • Hearing Officer The Hearing Officer shall be jointly selected by the parties within thirty (30) days of the execution of this contract and shall serve for a minimum of one (1) year from the date of selection. At that time the parties may choose to re-appoint the Hearing Officer or select a different Hearing Officer who will also serve for a minimum of one (1) year from date of selection.

  • EEO Officer The contractor will designate and make known to the contracting officers an EEO Officer who will have the responsibility for and must be capable of effectively administering and promoting an active EEO program and who must be assigned adequate authority and responsibility to do so.

  • Field Training Officer When a Public Safety Officer has been designated as a Field Training Officer for a new employee he/she will receive a five percent (5%) increase for all the hours they provide direct training/instruction.

  • Contracting Officer The person authorized to administer and make written determinations for the Commonwealth with respect to the Prime Contract.   • President and Chief Executive Officer The president shall be the chief executive officer of the Trust, unless the Board of Trustees designates the chairman as chief executive officer. The chief executive officer shall see that all orders and resolutions of the Board of Trustees are carried into effect.
