Field Training Officer definition

Field Training Officer means a member of the fire department who is assigned to and performs the duties and responsibilities of the field training officers program.
Field Training Officer. Rating: Probationary Police Officers will be rated daily/weekly while in the Field Training Officer (FTO) program, and then semi-annually thereafter.

Field Training Officer or "FTO" means an experienced police officer who provides on-the-job training and supervision of probationary police officers during the Field Training and Evaluation Program, while also serving as a patrol officer.
