Compensatory Time Off In Lieu Of Overtime Pay. 1. Compensation for overtime work, by mutual agreement of the City and the employee, may be in compensatory time off in an amount equal to one and one-half (1-1/2) times the number of hours worked. 2. Scheduling the use of any compensatory time will be by mutual agreement of the employee and their supervisor. 3. A written record of compensatory time earned and used shall be maintained by the City. 4. Compensatory time may be accumulated up to a maximum of forty (40) hours. Additional overtime earned shall be paid at the prescribed rate. 5. Compensatory time must be used within one (1) year of the time it is earned or the overtime will be paid by warrant.
