Compensatory Time – Request for Time. An employee wishing to use his or her accrued compensatory time off (CTO) shall make the request to his or her supervisor in writing. The City shall permit the employee to use the requested accrued CTO within a reasonable period after making the request, and to the extent required by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), so long as the use of the CTO does not unduly disrupt the operations of the City. The City is not required to grant use of the CTO on the preferred day or days requested by the employee.

  • Compensation for Holidays Falling on Scheduled Days Off 1. When a holiday falls on a full-time employee's regularly scheduled day off, the employee shall receive eight (8) hours of compensatory time.

  • Notice of Layoffs The County shall give reasonable notice to the Association before effecting any layoffs which materially affect employees represented under this Memorandum of Understanding. Upon receiving such notice, the Association may meet and confer regarding the effect of the layoff.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An Employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half (2½) for hours worked, plus a day off subject to this Agreement.
