Competency Standard. The training competencies describe the key knowledge and skills required of a person to achieve competency for the skill area/skill standard.

Competency Standard. The competency standard for providing any service in the FSA shall be one of the following: • minimum qualifications established by the California Community College Board of Governors; or • equivalency adopted by the District; or • experience providing the particular service at Mt. San Antonio Community College District for a minimum of 20% or 3 LHE of a full-time term credit load or its equivalent in paid status, while under contract as a probationary or tenured certificated employee of the District.
Competency Standard. 19.4.1 Competency for all unit members employed prior to June 30, 1993, will be minimum qualifications. 19.4.2 For unit members not working within their disciplines, competency will be minimum qualifications. 19.4.3 Beginning fall primary term 1993, all new academic employees, except for Unit members serving under Section 19.4.2, in order to maintain competency in a discipline within a FSA, must meet the criteria in either A or B below. A. For instructional faculty: 1. Has taught two classes in the discipline in the last five years, or 2. Has taken two classes in the discipline in the last five years, or (Prior approval of classes must be obtained from Chief Instruction Officer. If disapproved, instructor may appeal to Equivalency Committee for final decision, See appendix.) 3. Has worked in a discipline-related job for one primary term in the last five years (relevance to be decided by the Equivalency Committee). B. For student development faculty: 1. Has taught two classes in the discipline in the last five years (assuming there are classes in that discipline), or 2. Has taken two classes in the discipline in the last five years (Prior approval of classes must be obtained from Chief Instruction Officer. If disapproved, instructor may appeal to Equivalency Committee for final decision. See appendix.), or 3. Has worked in a discipline-related job for one primary term in the last five years (relevance to be decided by the Equivalency Committee).

  • Competency Competency at this level involves application of knowledge and skills to a range of tasks and roles. There is a defined range of contexts where the choice of actions required is clear. There is limited complexity of choice of actions required. On occasion, more complex tasks may be performed.

  • Minimum Necessary Standard Business Associate shall apply the HIPAA Minimum Necessary standard to any Use or disclosure of PHI necessary to achieve the purposes of this Contract. See 45 CFR 164.514 (d)(2) through (d)(5).

  • Meets Standard The school materially complies with applicable laws, rules, regulations and provisions of the charter contract relating to financial reporting requirements, including but not limited to: • Complete and on-time submission of financial reports, including annual budget, revised budgets (if applicable), periodic financial reports as required by the authorizer and any reporting requirements if the board contracts with an Education Service Provider (ESP) • On-time submission and completion of the annual independent audit and corrective action plans, if applicable • No charging of tuition • Adequate management and financial controls • All reporting requirements related to the use of public funds

  • Cultural Competency 1. All program staff shall receive at least one (1) in-service training per year on some aspect of providing culturally and linguistically appropriate services. At least once per year and upon request, Contractor shall provide County with a schedule of in-service training(s) and a list of participants at each such training. 2. Contractor shall use good faith efforts to translate health-related materials in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner. At least once per year and upon request, Contractor shall provide to County copies of Contractor’s health-related materials in English and as translated. 3. Contractor shall use good faith efforts to hire clinical staff members who can communicate with clients in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner. At least once per year and upon request, Contractor shall submit to County the cultural composition and linguistic fluencies of Contractor’s staff.

  • Industry Troubleshooter Where a difference arises between the parties relating to the dismissal, discipline, or suspension of an employee, or to the interpretation, application, operation, or alleged violation of this Agreement, including any question as to whether a matter is arbitrable, during the term of the Collective Agreement, Xxxxx XxXxxxxxxx, Xxxx Xxxxxx, Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx, or a substitute agreed to by the parties, shall at the request of either party:

  • Competencies The following competencies apply to this position. The employee will be assessed against these as part of their annual performance and development review.

  • Emergency Situation In the event of an emergency situation beyond our reasonable control, such as an "act of God," war, fire, or natural disaster, services involving your account could be available only in a modified or reduced form or could be entirely unavailable. Unless expressly prohibited by applicable law, you agree that we will have no liability to you for such modification, reduction, or unavailability of services caused by an emergency situation.

  • Cultural Competence 1. Grantee will make reasonable efforts to provide services that meet each client’s individual needs and takes into consideration the intellectual functioning, literacy, level of education and comprehension ability of each client in order to ensure that all information is presented in a way that meets each client’s individual needs. 2. Grantee will provide services in the client's primary language either directly by Grantee or by a DFPS approved translator. 3. Grantee will have a cultural competence mission statement, core values or other similar guidance that provides how the Grantee will effectively provide these services to clients of various cultures, races, ethnic backgrounds and religions in a manner that recognizes and affirms the client’s worth, protects and preserves the client’s dignity and ensures equity of service delivery.

  • Service Level Standards In addition to all other requirements in this Agreement, and in accordance with the Best Claims Practices & Estimating Guidelines, Vendor shall use reasonable and good faith efforts to meet the Service Level Standards set forth below.

  • Emergency Situations If the condition is an emergency, this will be communicated to the Contractor with the request that corrections are to be accomplished immediately. The Contractor shall respond to the notice in emergency situations within twenty-four hours. If the Contractor fails to respond within this time limit, the Owner may correct the defect and charge the Contractor for the Work. If it is determined the complaint is not the responsibility of the Contractor, the Contractor shall be promptly paid for the cost of the corrective work. The Contractor shall give notice in writing to the Owner when corrections have been completed.
