It is the general purpose of the CBA to promote the mutual interests of MLS, the Union and the Players and to allow for the operation of the League in a manner that will promote, to the fullest extent possible, the business of MLS and the growth of professional soccer in the United States and Canada.
Competition Guidelines. Each Player shall be subject to the provisions of the Competition Guidelines. The Competition Guidelines in effect as of the date of this CBA are attached as Exhibit 6 and shall be deemed incorporated herein. In the event of a conflict between the Competition Guidelines and an express provision of the CBA, the express provision of the CBA shall govern. A copy of the Competition Guidelines, and all amendments thereto, shall be available at the MLS office. Each time that the League amends the Competition Guidelines, it shall as soon as reasonably possible, distribute a copy of such amended document(s) to the Union and, upon the request of the Union, shall provide each Player with a written description of the changes made to such document(s).
Competition Guidelines. ONLY Athletes, Volunteers, and Officials are allowed on the track. • Athletes over the age of 10 MUST wear masks in all staging areas and when entering and exiting the track, ring, pit, or runway when social distancing can not be maintained. • Only competing athletes are allowed in the “staging area.” • Only one (1) age group/division will be checked in at a time.
