Concealment of illness. If, at the time of employment, an employee has concealed the fact that they are suffering from a certain illness, the employee is not entitled to sick pay from the 15th calendar day of the sickness period if the incapacity for work is attributable to such illness.

Concealment of illness. Employees who concealed at the time of their employment by the company that they suffer from a particular illness are not entitled to sick pay from the 15th calendar day of any sick leave period that is directly related to that illness. This also applies if the employer re- quested a health certificate at the time of employment, but the em- ployee was not able to provide one due to illness.

  • Sickness In the event that an employee requires hospitalization or is seriously ill during his/her annual vacation period, the employee shall, upon request and upon presentation of a physician's statement, apply the period of illness or hospitalization to sick leave rather than vacation, provided the sick bank is not used. The employee must inform the College of the claim within one (1) week of returning to work.
