Conditions of Carer’s Leave. To be entitled to carer’s leave, the following conditions must be met: (a) Normally the employee must be responsible for the care and support of the person concerned. (b) The employee will not be entitled to take carer’s leave where another person has carer’s leave to care for the same person. (c) All absences for carer’s leave, apart from 3 single day absences per year, must be supported by a medical certificate stating the illness of the person concerned and that the illness is such as to require care by another.
