CONDITIONS OF SICK LEAVE ACCRUALS. Sick leave will be credited monthly at the rate of one-twelfth (1/12) of the total annual hours of sick leave due the employee for each completed month of employment. Sick leave will not accrue for any month during which the employee is absent for more than one-half (1/2) of his or her standard working hours except where the absence is due to paid vacation, paid holidays, paid funeral leave, jury duty, voting time off or paid sick leave. Sick leave with pay will accrue during any absence brought about because of occupational injury or occupational illness so long as the employee remains eligible for temporary disability benefits under the State of Illinois Worker’s Compensation Act or the Occupational Disease Act.
