Confidentiality of Health Information. (a) An employee shall not be required to provide her or his manager/supervisor specific information regarding the nature of her or his illness or injury during a period of absence. However, the Employer may require the employee to provide such information to persons responsible for occupational health. (b) These persons shall not release any information to the manager/supervisor of the employee except the duration or expected duration of the absence, the fitness of the employee to return to work, any limitations associated with the fitness of the employee to return to work, and whether the illness or injury is bona fide. (c) The Employer shall store health information separately and access thereto shall be given only to the persons directly responsible for the administration of occupational health.
