Common use of Consecutive Work Premium Clause in Contracts

Consecutive Work Premium. (a) Subject to article 17.06 (a) and (b), all work performed on the eighth (8th) day and subsequent consecutive days of work shall be paid at double time. This clause shall not apply to those consecutive shifts in excess of seven (7) shifts worked at the request of the employee. (b) Subject to Article 17.06, all work performed on the fourth (4th) shift shall be paid for at the rate of time and one half (1 ½) and double time for the fifth (5th) and subsequent consecutive shifts. This clause shall not apply to those consecutive shifts in excess of three (3) shifts worked at the request of the employee.
