Consultations and Complaints. An employee shall submit his/her complaint to the Union within a period of no longer than fourteen (14) working days of the alleged occurrence. STAGE 1 Within ten (10) working days of 10.05 c), the Grievance Committee shall arrange with the immediate Supervisor and the Department Head a meeting to orally discuss the allegation. Within three (3) working days following this meeting, the Department Head shall advise the Union of his/her and the Supervisor's decision. Failing settlement, the Union may proceed to the following stage. STAGE 2 Within three (3) working days of the answer in Stage 1, the Union shall submit and present a grievance in writing with the allegation and redress sought to the Chief Administrative Officer. The Chief Administrative Officer or his/her designate shall submit a written reply by registered mail to the Union within twenty (20) working days. STAGE 3 Any grievance submitted to arbitration following Stage 2 shall be submitted within twenty (20) working days after the reply is received under Stage 2.
