Common use of Contracting In Clause in Contracts

Contracting In. Nothing in this Agreement prohibits the Employer from contracting with any other Party. It is agreed that all such work will be bargaining unit work and the Union agrees to meet to discuss temporary modifications to this Agreement that will be beneficial to securing such work. These discussions are to take place at an expedited pre-bid meeting comprised of the Union's Labour/Management Committee representatives, a member of the affected work group, and the Employer's representatives. Any local modifications will be on a project-by-project basis without precedent.
