Leave for OCHU President and Secretary-Treasurer. Upon application in writing by the Union on behalf of the employee to the Hospital, a leave of absence without pay shall be granted to such employee(s) elected to the positions of the President of the Ontario Council of Hospital Unions or the Secretary-Treasurer of the Ontario Council of Hospital Unions for period(s) of up to two (2) years. It is understood, however, that during such leave the employee(s) shall be deemed to be an employee of the Union. During such leave of absence seniority and service shall accrue at seven and one-half (7.5) hours per day to a maximum of thirty-seven and one-half (37.5) hours per week. In addition, during such leave of absence, the employee's salary and applicable benefits shall be maintained by the Hospital on the basis of what his normal regular hours of work would have been, provided that the Union reimburses the Hospital in the amount of such salary and applicable benefits within thirty (30) days of billing. The employee agrees to notify the Hospital of his intention to return to work at least four (4) weeks prior to the date of such return. The employee shall be returned to his former duties on the same shift in the same department and at the appropriate rate of pay, subject to any changes which would have occurred had the employee not been on leave.

It is understood that no more than one (1) employee in the bargaining unit may be on such leave at the same time. Such leave shall be for a period of one (1) calendar year from the date of appointment unless extended for a further specific period by agreement of the parties. Seniority and service shall accrue at seven and one-half (7.5) hours per day to a maximum of thirty-seven and one-half (37.5) hours per week during such leave. The employee shall notify the Hospital of his intension to return to work at least four (4) weeks prior to the date of such return.   • Chairman and Secretary The Local Union shall select the Union representatives and the Chapter shall select the management representatives.

  • President Unless the Trustees otherwise provide, the President shall preside at all meetings of the shareholders and of the Trustees. Unless the Trustees otherwise provide, the President shall be the chief executive officer.

  • The President the Treasurer and the Secretary shall be elected by the Trustees upon the occurrence of any vacancy in any such office. Other officers, if any, may be elected or appointed by the Trustees at any time. Vacancies in any such other office may be filled at any time.

  • Vice President In the absence of the President or in the event of the President’s inability to act, the Vice President, if any (or in the event there be more than one Vice President, the Vice Presidents in the order designated by the Directors, or in the absence of any designation, then in the order of their election), shall perform the duties of the President, and when so acting, shall have all the powers of and be subject to all the restrictions upon the President. The Vice Presidents, if any, shall perform such other duties and have such other powers as the Board may from time to time prescribe.

  • Chairman An individual (who need not be a Registered Warrantholder) designated in writing by the Warrant Agent shall be chairman of the meeting and if no individual is so designated, or if the individual so designated is not present within fifteen minutes from the time fixed for the holding of the meeting, the Registered Warrantholders present in person or by proxy shall choose an individual present to be chairman.

  • Treasurer The Treasurer shall be the chief financial and accounting officer of the Trust, and, subject to the provisions of the Declaration of Trust and to any arrangement made by the Trustees with a custodian, investment adviser or manager, or transfer, shareholder servicing or similar agent, shall be in charge of the valuable papers, books of account and accounting records of the Trust, and shall have such other duties and powers as may be designated from time to time by the Trustees or by the President.

  • Assistant Treasurer The assistant treasurer shall in the absence or disability of the treasurer, perform the duties and exercise the powers of the treasurer and shall perform such other duties as the Board of Trustees or the chief executive officer may from time to time prescribe.
