Control Manholes. Each person discharging industrial wastes into a public sewer shall construct and maintain one or more control manholes or access points to facilitate observation, measurement and sampling of his wastes, including domestic sewage. Control manholes or access facilities shall be located and built in a manner acceptable to the engineer or plant superintendent. If measuring devices are to be permanently installed they shall be of a type acceptable to the engineer or plant superintendent. Control manholes, access facilities and related equipment shall be installed by the person discharging the waste at his expense and shall be maintained by him so as to be in safe condition, accessible and in proper operating condition at all times. Plans for installation of the control manholes or access facilities and related equipment shall be approved by the engineer or plant superintendent prior to the beginning of construction.

Control Manholes. Upon request of the City's Director of Public Works, the District shall require the owner of any property served by a building sewer carrying industrial wastes to install a suitable control manhole on the building sewer to facilitate observation and sampling of the wastes. Such manhole, when required, shall be constructed in accordance with plans approved by the City's Director of Public Works or their designee. SECTION SIX

Control Manholes. When required by City or District, the user, if its sewer shall carry industrial wastes, shall install a suitable control manhole in the sewer to facilitate observation, sampling and measuring of wastes. Such manhole, when required, shall be accessible and safely located and shall be constructed in accordance with plans approved by the City Engineer and District Engineer. The manhole shall be installed by the user at its expense and shall be maintained by it so as to be safe and accessible at all times.
Control Manholes. When required by the Sanitarian, the owner of any property serviced by a building sewer carrying industrial wastes shall install a suitable control manhole together with such necessary meters and other appurtenances in the building sewer to facilitate observation, sampling, and measurement of the wastes. Such manhole, when required, shall be accessibly and safely located, and shall be constructed in accordance with plans approved by the Sanitarian. The manhole shall be installed by the owner at the owner’s expense, and shall be maintained by the owner so as to be safe and accessible at all times.
Control Manholes. When required by the public works director, the owner of any property served by a building sewer carrying any liquid or free-flowing wastewater, excluding uncontaminated water but including cooling water, resulting from any industrial or manufacturing process or from the development, recovery or processing of natural resources, with or without S.S., shall install a suitable control manhole in the building sewer to facilitate observation, measurement and sampling of the wastes. Such manhole shall be accessible, safely located and constructed in accordance with plans approved by the public works director. The manhole shall be installed by the owner at the owner’s expense.
