CULTURAL/CEREMONIAL LEAVE. 47.1 Cultural/ceremonial leave is available to all employees. 47.2 Such leave includes leave to meet the Employee’s customs, traditional lore and to participate in cultural and ceremonial activities. 47.3 An Employee is entitled to time off without loss of pay for cultural/ceremonial purposes, subject to agreement between the Employer and Employee and sufficient leave credits being available. 47.4 The Employer will assess each application for ceremonial/cultural leave on its merits and give consideration to the personal circumstances of the Employee seeking the leave. 47.5 The Employer may request reasonable evidence of the legitimate need for the Employee to be allowed time off.
