Cyclical Breaks. Full time Musicians must be provided with two days off, consecutive where practicable, in each fortnight. Each Musician will receive two consecutive days off at least once in each Designated Four Week Period. While the Company will endeavour to schedule said consecutive days off at regular intervals, the maximum period between consecutive days off will not exceed six (6) weeks. When scheduling consecutive days off, the Company will take into consideration the workload of individual Musicians and the impact of the Opera and Ballet seasons. The timing of Musicians’ consecutive days off may be staggered across the Company.

  • Meal Breaks (a) An employee who works in excess of five hours will be entitled to an unpaid meal break of not less than 30 minutes and not more than 60 minutes.

  • Missed Meal Breaks (a) (applicable to full-time employees only) If an employee is authorized to work, during the lunch break, due to the requirements of patient care, he will be paid time and one-half (1½) his regular straight time hourly rate for all time worked in excess of his normal daily hours.

  • Lunch Breaks The lunch break will consist of a one-half hour (or one hour where scheduled) unpaid break taken mid-way during regular work day. In the event that an employee is required to work during his regular lunch period he shall be allowed a one-half hour lunch period between the hours of ll:30 a.m. and l:00 p.m., otherwise he shall be paid double time for working through said lunch period.
