Common use of DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING Clause in Contracts

DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING. Subject to the operating needs of the ODG, leave without loss of pay shall be granted on the day after Thanksgiving Day, and treated as follows: Such day shall not be considered as a holiday under this Article; provided, however, Leave granted shall be considered as time actually worked for the purpose of determining eligibility for overtime compensation. Employees who work on that day will get up to eight (8) hours (hour for hour) compensatory time off above minimum regular pay. Employees who have that day as a regularly scheduled day off and do not work shall receive up to eight (8) hours compensatory time off. The provisions of sections 9 and 10 apply to the day after Thanksgiving.
