Decision by the Board of Trustees. 16.5.1 The decision to dismiss shall rest, with respect to both facts and decision, with the Board of Trustees after considering the recommendations of the President, the Dismissal/RIF Review committee, and the hearing examiner. Those recommendations shall be advisory only and in no respect binding in fact or law upon the Board of Trustees.

Decision by the Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees shall award tenure. This decision shall normally be made at the May Board Meeting but no later than the following meeting. The employee shall be notified in writing by the president or representative within five days of the decision of the Board.
